The game launched simultaneously on three PC storefronts:

There is no console version at present. Console ports have been described as planned for a few months after PC, with no platforms named and no date announced — see the release date page for what is and is not confirmed there.
Which store to pick
For this game specifically, the storefront choice has a practical dimension beyond price. The Steam version connects to the discussion boards where medal thresholds and ballistic tables actually get worked out by players, and the community has been the main source of solutions for a game that documents very little in-game.
If you intend to mod — the co-op mod, the fire control system, the turret optimisations — check which build the mod pages target before buying elsewhere. Mod loaders and mods are commonly built against the Steam build first, and compatibility with other storefront builds is unconfirmed on this site.

Yes, and it is unusually substantial. The demo is free on Steam and runs the same fire-control loop as the full game, with procedurally generated objectives, two challenge modes, leaderboards, around 30 ammunition types and 15 regions.
Given the game's presentation — first person, inside a windowless cockpit, for the entire runtime — trying before buying is worth more here than for most titles at this price. The demo answers whether you enjoy the loop, which is the only question a $19.99 purchase actually turns on.
Is it worth the money?
The game holds 98% positive across more than 5,000 reviews, rated Overwhelmingly Positive, and peaked at 17,515 concurrent players. For a two-person team self-publishing a niche artillery simulator, those are unusually strong numbers, and they are the clearest available signal that the game delivers what it advertises.
Whether it is worth it to you depends on tolerance for deliberate friction. IRON NEST is not an action game, you cannot see outside the nest, and a mission can be lost at the map table three minutes before anything fires. Players who want that describe it as one of the most absorbing simulators in years; players who wanted an artillery shooter tend to bounce off it quickly.
Waiting for a sale
The launch discount is the first price cut the game has had, and no sale history exists yet beyond it — the title released on 6 August 2026. Any claim about typical discount depth or seasonal sale timing would be guesswork this early, so this page will not make one.
